The Rules of 21
-
01
First to 21 WinsThe goal is simple — reach exactly 21 points before anyone else. No shortcuts, no luck. Pure skill and execution.
-
02
1 Point — Inside the ArcAny basket scored from inside the 3-point line counts as 1 point. Standard. Straightforward. Stack them up.
-
03
2 Points — Behind the ArcDrain one from deep and you earn 2 points. You must call your shot before attempting — otherwise it counts as 1.
-
04
Make It, Take ItScore a basket and you keep possession. Your run continues until you miss. No rest, no mercy — keep attacking the hoop.
-
05
Dribble Out After ReboundsAfter any missed shot, the player who grabs the rebound must dribble out past the 3-point line before attacking the basket. No cherry-picking.
-
06
Score Exactly 21 — No Going OverIf your score exceeds 21, it resets back to 13. Calculate every shot. One careless bucket can cost you the whole game.

Pro Tips
-
🎯Count Your Score ConstantlyKnow exactly where you stand at all times. If you go over 21, your score resets to 11. One accidental bucket can flip the whole game.
-
📣Always Call Your 2-PointerStep behind the arc without calling it and the bucket only counts as 1. Announce your shot loud and clear before you pull up.
-
🔒Defense Wins Games TooYou can block, steal, and contest every shot. No free rides. Shutting someone down when they're on a run can completely change the momentum.
-
💨Train Your ConditioningYou play both ends every possession. Fatigue is your enemy. The player who stays sharp in the fourth quarter of a long run usually takes the win.
-
⚡Tiebreaker — Sudden Death ArcIf two players reach 21 on the same turn, it goes to a sudden-death shootout from behind the arc. Make yours. Don't choke.
